Factory Blumm Prize presents Simone Bergantini
Not only a prize, but a real springboard to enhance visibility also outside of the artistic sector. This is the Blumm Prize’s mission, as witnessed by Simone Bergantini, finalist of the 2013 Edition and author of the picture used for the new campaign of Lombardy Region
Born in 1977 in Velletri, near Rome, he moved first to Milan, to study photography and to work as an assistant for important advertising photographers, and then to Turin, to turn his talent into a career. This is Simone Bergantini’s story. Last year, he took part in the first edition of Blumm Prize Art in Progress- the international prize of contemporary art created by the agency Pomilio Blumm- along with other nineteen independent artists from all over the world.
Thanks to his research on the relationship between identity and transparency (“Transparency is gold”, see the photo above), in spite of his young age, Bergantini has already exhibited his works in Italian and foreign art galleries. He won awards at international level, among which the Talent calling of FOAM Museum in Amsterdam and the Terna Prize 02. He proved his great artistic capacity and had the opportunity to work for the campaign of tourism promotion of Lombardy Region, supervised by Pomilio Blumm.
Indeed, Bergantini has shot the picture chosen to strengthen the image of Lombard in light of Expo 2015. As a synthesis and symbol of regional excellences (fashion, food, design, culture), the photo represents a unique and distinctive lifestyle through a classy and appealing female portrait.
This is an important proof that strengthens the Blumm Prize’s vocation: creating a factory of new languages and expressive forms exploring art and values, ethics and aesthetics, and offering a prestigious springboard for young and promising artists.
