Blumm Prize Art in Progress 2015-2016
Exploring new languages through the prism of avant-garde art: this is the goal of Pomilio Blumm Prize, an international award for young talents invited to express themselves on the founding values of the relationship between citizens and institutions.
Promoted and developed by the communication agency Pomilio Blumm, the Pomilio Blumm Prize Art in Progress is addressed to under 40 independent artists working on the world stage.
After the first edition in 2013, for the 2015 edition Pomilio Blumm Prize Art in Progress has become Pomilio Blumm Prize – Art Contest Show: an innovative docu-contest designed in collaboration with the concept and content production company Magnolia and SkyArteHD TV channel, to be broadcasted from 2nd May 2016 for four Mondays in a row.
The programme will consist in a challenge between six emerging artists from the entire Euro-Mediterranean basin called upon to interpret important concepts for our times, such as identity, art and science, public space, with the help of two special curators, Fabiola Naldi and Lorenzo Balbi.
The works of the competing artists will be appraised on the basis of their aesthetic value as well as their ethic and moral worth by a prestigious jury of high profile experts: Michelangelo Pistoletto, one of the most famous Italian artists in the world, Alessandra Mammì, journalist and art critic, and Gianfranco Maraniello, director of MART in Rovereto.
The winner is entitled to a cash prize of € 10,000.
